Breakthrough DJ and producer Manami takes the reins for the final mix in the Floorless Festival takeover. Digging deep into the back catalogue Paltipus Records, Manami takes us on journey of euphoria with plenty of hands in the air and woohoo moments – capturing the essence of a closing set’s final minutes. A perfect mix to round off what has been a brilliant takeover from the Floorless crew.

Speaking about the mix Manami says, “I’ve created an hour mix inspired by the final moments of the festival, the last 15 or so minutes, using solely the back catalogue of trance label Platipus Records. With the absolute privilege of closing the festival in previous years, the goal has been to soak in euphoria together and see off the festival on cloud 9, radiating all the amazing emotions we’ve felt throughout the weekend.

I usually hop between genres and sounds in a mix or set so it was nice to sink into pure trance indulgence for this one. Big love and hugs to my Floorless family xxx”

Born in Japan, raised in the UK, Manami currently resides in London and has been taking the club circuit by storm with her mighty sets and releases on labels such as Futureboogie, Soothsayer, Semi Delicious and Viscera Records. Cutting her teeth in Bristol, she’s cultivated a loyal following through throwing her own parties under the imprint Better Days, most recently programmed fabric’s Room 3 for her new β€˜Level 1’ and played at Boiler Room’s open air Bristol takeover. There’s no stopping Manami!

Taking place from the 4th – 6th August, Floorless Festival was a natural response to those lonely months brought on by the pandemic. The Floorless brand originally started as a series of club shows run by a group of friends who are DJs, promoters, producers and music lovers and have since hosted parties at venues such as Corsica Studios, The Glove That Fits, Venue MOT and The Carpet Shop. Over the years it has grown into an event with a real community spirit, seeing the same faces on the dance floor of every event. This extends into the festival where the music policy represents a breadth of UK clubland with a focus on local talent; last year’s festival line-up included the likes of Mi-el, Allecto, Alicia, EMA, Melati, Manami, FAFF and more.
