Dutch label Rush Hour will press up an Italo classic, ‘The MBO Theme’ with a rare South African version from Warrior.
‘The MBO Theme’ was originally released in 1983 on Atlantic whilst the Rush Hour team came across Warrior’s edit whilst searching for records in South Africa.
“Because the country was culturally banned at the time, a lot of releases weren’t imported or exported, even when a track was huge, like ‘The Klein & MBO Theme,'” the label says. “So South African musicians would create their own versions which were sold locally.”
