Ross From Friends to release new EP, ‘Aphelion’ on Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder

Ross From Friends is the latest artist to be signed to Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder imprint.

Due to be released digitally on the 6th April, the 5-track EP ‘Aphelion’ taps into a myriad of the British producer’s influences from hip-hop’s cut ‘n’ paste culture, 80s Eurobeat, Hi-NRG and Italo into lithe, irresistible, raw dancefloor trax. Leading with ‘John Cage’, which originally began life as a track for a hip-hop project he works on with a friend from home, a blissful melody with a spoken word intro and a tinge of Balearic elements.

Leading the way for the underground DIY genre loosely known as ‘lo-fi house’, Ross From Friends made his debut in 2015 on Breaker Breaker and has since released on Lobster Theremin and sister label Distant Hawaii, Lone’s Magicwire and Molten Jets.

A limited 12″ will be available from the 13th April
