The Hydra returns to the South London venue for a three-day affair across the August bank holiday.

Booking a mixture of renowned legends, established tastemakers and emerging artists, The Hydra’s welcome return to Printworks takes place from Friday 23rd August to Sunday 25th August.

Kicking off the weekend with a special performance from acclaimed composer Nils Frahm for his only London festival set this summer. He will be supported by founding member of ambient electronic group Global Communication, Tom Middleton.

Moving to a more club-orientated billing, Saturday’s eleven-hour party pays homage to the many sounds of techno with Jeff Mills at the helm. Playing alongside him will be Ben Klock, a rare live set from Model 500, Helena Hauff, Terrence Dixon and Mor Elian. The Dark Room will host sets from Move D, Willow, Damiano von Erckert and DEBONAIR.

For the finale, Sunday’s party has a Stateside theme with Larry Heard, DãM-FunK, Carl Craig, Moodymann and Theo Parrish all playing. The Dark Room will focus on jazz, soul and hip-hop with DJ sets from Lefto, Joe Armon-Jones, Ash Lauryn, Sofie and Logic1000.

Founders Dolan Bergin and Ajay Jayaram launched The Hydra on the same August bank holiday in 2012.
