The new project comes eight years after A Short Introduction To The House Sounds Of Terre Thaemlitz.
Paying homage to Thaemlitz work as Kami-Sakunobe House Explosion (K-S.H.E.), S.H.E’s first release is a compilation celebrating the run of Skylax Records – a label started by Hardrock Striker in 2004. The two members of S.H.E take on a mix either side of the CD which will be accompanied by a three-piece vinyl collection of unreleased music curated by DJ Sprinkles and Hardrock Striker.
The first compilation includes tracks from Octo Octa, Garage Shelter, Jason Grove, Lady Blacktronika and Violence FM & The Underground Soulsavers. Forming a template for future S.H.E releases, it is one in a number of outings partnering Skylax Records and Comatonse Recording, the label run by Terre Thaemlitz since 1993.
