The performance will take place at Halle am Wriezener Bahnhof on Friday 5th July.
Russian-born, Berlin-based artist has teamed up with UY Studio – a Berlin designer collective who recently collaborated with Staatsballet and the Deutsche Opera – for a new performance called ZONE 005. Cited in the press release as ‘a spiritual journey – connecting dance (28 dancers), costumes, sound design, and live visuals’.
With UY Studio taking care of the costumes for the evening, The Progressive Wave and the dancer Valentin Tszin are responsible for the choreography and ballet. The show takes inspiration from an ancient Islamic dance practiced ritualistically as a physically active meditation or worship ceremony.
