Yes, it’s another Bandcamp Day! What started off as a one-off fee-free day to support artists when the pandemic hit and all gigs were lost has now turned into a monthly spectacle, happening the first Friday of every month for the rest of the year. And we’re being spoilt. Artists are coming through each month with fresh incredible releases including sample packs and limited edition merch. Some are using the opportunity as a way of raising money for their local charities. It really feels like a special day when communities unite to support their favourite artists, sharing lists of what they’ve bought or what they’ve been loving and recommend to buy. Spotlight is being shown on both new and old releases and hopefully encouraging more people to buy music throughout the month.
Below is our August Bandcamp Day list. There are new releases that have come out especially for today as well as some of our key purchases from the last month. Included in here is Breaker Breaker label boss’ Haider’s welcomed return with ‘Endless Clouds’ EP, Sorry Records’ latest output from Darian (one of our favourite labels at the moment), Bailey Ibbs’ charity release, Time Cow’s sick ‘Travels’ EP, and new bits from the likes of Escaflowne, Hudson Mohawke, Dj Deeon, Rian Treanor and more!
